A unique and exciting opportunity to lead the product development for two fast-growing mass cosmetics line. In this role you will be responsible for driving the product development process – working with the marketing team and brand founders to set the innovation pipeline, and then managing the development process, from concept creation, identifying the appropriate lab partners and briefing, through to formula evaluation and shade palette development. Responsible for the formula development timeline, you will also be charged with ensuring all necessary testing (safety, global regulatory, claims etc) is conducted in a timely manner.
This role is for someone who is obsessed with color cosmetics – you keep up to date with what is happening in the category, you follow all the new launches happening in both mass, prestige, and direct-to-consumer, and are the go-to for insight on trending new ingredients, what’s happening in K-beauty, and the latest innovations in textures and finishes. You are skilled at identifying white spaces within a product assortment, and then are able to propose disruptive, on-brand ideas that will drive market share growth. Combining creativity with a commercial sensibility, this is a role for someone wanting to put their mark on two fast-growing brands and lead the category with their innovation.
This role also involves attending Retailer meetings to present product innovation, so we are looking for someone with strong communication, influencing, and presentation skills – the ability to transmit your passion for beauty to others is key!
This role reports to the Senior Vice President, Marketing.
