The Director of R&D’s main responsibility is to lead the technical development of new formulas across several categories (Fragrance, personal care, bath & body, hair care, bath and body, skin care, color cosmetics, Home Fragrance). The Director of R&D has a keen understanding of formulation, raw materials, formula cost, and knows how to support brand initiatives. This role will partner with marketing to formulate and oversee R&D on cutting edge hair, face, skin, sun (Including OTC), and fragrance sku’s, and will own the technical development, validation, scale up, and commercialization of all new product sku’s. This role requires the person to be able to manage and partner with outside manufacturing teams to ensure quality product that meets or exceeds industry standards.
