Maesa is currently seeking an Associate General Counsel that demonstrates the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong drafting skills who can respond to diverse matters arising from day to day operations. The right individual will provide support to the General Counsel as well as other departments. The role and level of responsibilities will be based on candidate’s skill level, experience and performance.


  • Review, draft, and manage licensing, distribution, master service and other commercial agreements
  • Perform name clearance, trademark searches, trademark registration, and manage the IP portfolio
  • Assist on regulatory matters on needs basis
  • Support General Counsel on ongoing projects and commercial matters


  • J.D. degree and license to practice law in U.S., and in good standing with the Bar
  • 2-3 years of experience working in a law firm or in an in-house environment, preferably in similar industry
  • Strong drafting, writing and problem-solving skills
  • Transactional experience such as drafting term sheet, and contract negotiation is a plus
  • Familiarity with reviewing NDAs, licensing and distribution agreements
  • Knowledge of trademark and IP law preferred
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
  • Ability to perform both independently and in a team environment
